Computer Pals for Seniors (Ku-ring-gai) – a club for retired or semi-retired over 55’s interested in communication technology.   We are a community organisation which aims to:

 

  • Equip seniors with the technology skills required to carry out day-to-day transactions online

  • Encourage seniors to understand the options available to communicate with family, friends and community organisations

  • Keep seniors abreast of changes in technology as they develop

  • Provide an opportunity for technology users to meet in order to exchange and expand their knowledge and skills

WHO WE ARE

  • One-on-one tuition – designed to meet individual needs

  • Joint Lessons and small-group workshops

  • Regular educational forums

  • Special-interest workshops

  • The opportunity to help others learn by becoming a volunteer tutor

WHAT WE OFFER

WHERE WE ARE

  • Lessons and small-group workshops are usually held at East Lindfield or Turramurra in fully-equipped computer training rooms

  • At times other locations may be used by mutual agreement between tutor and student

  • Informal special-interest discussion groups meet at various locations within Ku-ring-gai

  • Monthly education and social forums are held at 2pm on the first Monday of the month (except January and public holidays) in Meeting Room 2 (old section ) of Gordon Library
